I thought it would be nice to do a 'best bits ' roundup of 2015 but soon realised that it was an almost impossible task given the hours and hours of footage I have from this season - so this is just a little taster of how the 2015 season went :)
Armathwaite Hall, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake in the north of the Lake District was the venue for Emily and Matthew's wedding at the end September. While the girls busied themselves with bridal preps, the boys rolled up by VW campervan courtesy of Splitscreen Dreams. A nervous Matthew was soon waiting at the top of the aisle while Classic Ensembles played in the bridal party. Drinks on the terrace and a surprise visit from Emily's day old niece was all covered by photographer Paul McDowell. The day was topped off with a great evening reception, buffet meal and dancing the night away to Party Rockers

It's been a crazy year and I've managed to miss several weddings on the blog. Here's the highlights from Delia and Danny's day at the Laura Ashley Belsfield Hotel in Bowness on Windermere back in July. My first time at this venue since the big refurb and a chance to work with Trevor Ronson Photography not to mention a catch up with Lea of Beaulea's cakes.

Nathan and Kea's big day started at St Mary's church in Dalton in Furness on a fine October day before the reception at the Low Wood Hotel on the shores of Windermere. Steve Hillman took care of the photography for the day. The couple had a surprise cruise up the lake courtesy of the brides aunty and by the time they pulled into the jetty at the Low Wood, the guests were there to greet them. Some managed to get a glimpse of the last Vulcan bomber as it performed a flypast down the lake. A fabulous Alice in Wonderland themed reception was followed by a great evening dance with DJ Aldini
Sarah and Paul had their reception at Leighton Hall on a beautiful day in September. The day started out in Bowness on Windermere with a church service at St Martin's. It always feels like a grand occasion at this church as the tourists gather around the railings to catch a glimpse of the bide as she arrives. Then it was off to Leighton Hall - beautiful venue in the open countryside near Carnforth. Working alongside Andrea Pickering Photography for the second time this season and good to see Phil, Charlotte and the team of Karen Rhodes Weddings & Events again.

September brought a bit of sunshine to the Lake District and a visit to Inn on the Lake, Ullswater for Tracy and Carl's wedding. An early flypast from the RAF always adds to the day and this was a big day to start with. An outdoor ceremony, a cruise on the lake with Ullswater Steamers and a great night of dancing to The Task. Always a happy atmosphere with Louise of Definitions Mobile Beauty and my third wedding this season with Tiree Dawson Photography.

I haven't had much chance to post any updates this past few weeks because of all the editing that's going on but I've been at a couple of wedding fairs recently, Lodore Falls Hotel and Low Wood Hotel - today was at the Inn on the Lake. They've all been very well attended and enquiries are back up to pre recession levels so if your getting married in 2016 or 2017 my advice is to book what you need as soon as possible because it looks like being very busy indeed.
