Once in a while I get to travel abroad - that is, out of Cumbria. Richard and Danielle got in touch through a couple who's wedding I filmed a few years ago at the now non existent Coot on the Tarn at Great Urswick (we have all the best place names in Cumbria) So apart from being 'let out' for the day and a chance to meet up with old friends and their new family I had the pleasure of filming a really fun day out in the country. An incredible amount of work had gone into the preparation of the marquee reception which, as we all learned later, had almost sunk in the mud and rain a few days before!! Bright blue skies were the order of the day, lots of love and laughter - brilliant. It's always great to work alongside truly professional photographers and those who read my blog on a regular basis will know my feelings on that, Kate and Kev of Depict Photography now join my list :)

Barry and Elaine's wedding at Abbey House Hotel was the chance of a lifetime for Barry (apart from the small detail of the wedding that is) His dream car for a day - and the dreams of all the male guests too going by the dewy eyed looks and drooling :) This is just the short 'spoiler' I posted on Facebook for them before I sent the proof.

A new venue for me, New House Farm, Lorton A beautiful setting at the foot of some of Lakelands most dramatic mountain scenery. Sarah and Phil enjoyed a day of sunshine and friendship with excellent live music from Classic Ensembles during the daylight hours and the brilliant Carlisle based band 'Highly Strung' for the evening dance. Working alongside Mike of Eden Valley Photography it all added up to a very enjoyable day for everyone.

One of those beautiful Spring days for Nicola and Jamie's wedding at St George's Church in Kendal before Cars of Distinction whisked them off to the Low Wood Hotel for a great reception and evening dance with DJ Al Dini. Always a pleasure to work alongside photographer Steve Hillman. All this and a christening too for the real star of the show Sophia :)

The spectacular venue of Langley Castle over near Hexham was the setting for Denise and Lee's wedding back in March. Adam Naylor-Whalley took charge of photography on what was a challenging day - hailstones one minute and bright, bright sunlight the next. This video clip is a break away from what has become the normal highlight sequence over the years - time for a change.

My first Low Wood Hotel wedding of the 2014 season. Andrew and Barbara braved whatever February threw at them and had one of those happy, bubbly days that are always great to be a part of. There was even an opportunity to get outside for some breezy shots on the jetty with Steve Yates of Derwent Photography.
